Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 1, 2026
This policy explains what Seattle's Tribute to The Last Waltz (“we”, “us”) collects when you use www.thelastwaltztribute.com, why we collect it, and what we do and do not do with it. We are a volunteer-run benefit concert, not a business that trades in data.
The short version
The only personal information we ask you for is an email address, and only if you choose to join the mailing list. We use it to send announcements about this show. We do not sell, rent, trade, or otherwise disclose your personal information to anyone for money or for any other consideration, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.
Information you give us
Email address. If you sign up for the mailing list, we store the address you enter. Nothing else on this site asks you for personal information — there are no accounts, no comments, and no purchases made here.
Email you send us. If you write to seattleslastwaltz@gmail.com, we keep your message and your address so we can reply.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, this one uses analytics to count visits and see which pages people read. These tools are provided by third parties and may set cookies or similar identifiers, and may record your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view, and the site you arrived from:
- Google Analytics, provided by Google. See Google's privacy policy and Google's opt-out add-on.
- Umami, a privacy-focused analytics service that does not build cross-site profiles of visitors.
We look at this data in aggregate to understand how the site is doing. We do not try to identify individual visitors from it, and we do not combine it with your mailing list address. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies, and browser tracking protection or an ad blocker will stop these tags from loading at all.
How we use your email address
To send occasional announcements about Seattle's Tribute to The Last Waltz — a few emails a year. We do not use it for anything else, and we do not send anyone else's advertising to our list.
Who else touches your information
We use a small number of service providers to run the site and the mailing list. They process information on our behalf and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes:
- Cloudflare hosts the site and stores the mailing list database. Signups also pass a Cloudflare Turnstile check, which keeps bots off the list.
- Resend holds our contact list and delivers the emails we send.
- Google and Umami, for the analytics described above.
- Adobe Fonts serves the typefaces this site is set in. Your browser downloads them from Adobe, so Adobe receives your IP address and the address of the page you are reading.
Beyond that, we disclose personal information only if we are legally required to.
Tickets are sold by Ticketmaster and merchandise and donations may be handled by other organizations. Those are separate companies on their own sites, collecting their own information under their own privacy policies. Nothing you enter there passes through us.
Unsubscribing and deleting your information
Every email we send carries an unsubscribe link, and using it stops the mail immediately. You can also write to seattleslastwaltz@gmail.com and ask us to unsubscribe you, to tell you what we hold about you, or to delete your address entirely. We will do it, and we will not ask you for a reason.
Unsubscribing stops delivery, but it does not delete your address. We keep a backup copy of the mailing list in our Cloudflare database, which we never send from, and that copy stays until you ask us to delete your address. When you do, we remove it from both Cloudflare and Resend.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS and the mailing list is held in access controlled systems at the providers named above. No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure, but the only thing we hold is an email address — we never ask for payment details, government identifiers, or passwords.
Children
This site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has given us an email address, write to us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle personal information, we will update this page and the date at the top. Material changes will also be mentioned to the mailing list.
